Thank you for praying as we prepare to depart. Our team has compiled a list of specific prayer requests for our time in Haiti.
Haiti Trip Prayer Requests
(As of December 16, 2008)
· That God would use this experience to develop within me the heart of a servant.
· That God would allow me to experience the joy of self-sacrifice so that my day-to-day life here would be changed.
· That God would sustain me physically and prevent me from getting sick.
· To find enough financial support.
· To be right in line with what God wants me to do on this trip, whatever that might be.
· That any physical limitations our team members may have will improve so as not to be a hindrance or problem on this trip. Our hope is that God will work through us, regardless of our physical condition in whatever way He sees fit.
· That many members of the Family Church who are not traveling to Haiti will still participate and take ownership in our collective efforts and as a consequence, be equally blessed by whatever God has in store for all of us.
· Spiritual growth and unity within my family.
· Clarity on what God would like our team to say to the widows of Delmas. That these widows would be blessed and impacted for good by our ministry to them and the lives of the children of Notre Maison.
· For reliable electricity at Mission Possible so that the computer network set-up work can proceed. This electricity is also needed for some medical equipment.
· That we would humbly present ourselves as available vessels for God's service, that we would be attentive to the Master's voice, and that we would be immediately obedient.
· That we would each be drawn in deeper devotion to our Lord, a stronger abiding, because of our reliance on God throughout this trip.
· That we would be clean vessels, confessed, maintained, infused, and useful for Kingdom work.
· That we would see God's hand and activity in our lives in the weeks leading up to the trip as well as the week of the trip, so that we can credit God with the results and so that our faith will be enlarged.
· That we would be prepared and empowered to live out God's purposes for us in Haiti, with our lenses focused on Jesus and our hearts tuned to His Spirit.
· That we would give God all the glory, and that we would learn how to live our lives.
· For good health for the staffs at Mission Possible, New Missions and Notre Maison.
